Meet the Director

Hello and welcome to the RPI!

I am the founder, CEO and clinical director of the Relational Path Institute (RPI). As an experienced clinician, professor, researcher, and international psychotherapy trainer, I have taught psychology and clinical interventions in several universities in the Middle East, Canada and the USA.

I established the RPI to share with the world the concept of Relational Mindfulness, which I define as the practice of relational skills based on an individual’s conscious awareness, and leading to the development of meaningful interpersonal connection.

Through my research I developed the evidence-based Humanistic-Existential Approach to Relationship Therapy (HEART), which integrates the main theories of relationship therapy, including: Imago, Emotionally Focused therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method for Couple Therapy, Relational Neurobiology, Mindfulness, and the Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy (PACT); and which I now teach to mental health professionals in the HEART Certificate Training.

With the objective of promoting world meaningful interpersonal connection, I have also designed several programs for individuals and couples, including the Love Awakening Workshop (LAW), and the 8 sessions Mindfulness Based Existential Therapy program (MBExist), which I lead in weekly psychotherapy group or intensive retreat formats.

At the moment, I am working towards the publication of a textbook for the HEART training, as well as a textbook and a participant workbook for the MBExist groups.

The RPI Team and I look forward to welcoming you in our trainings and workshops because, as we say at RPI:

It’s all about relationships!

Warm Regards,

Mónica Mansilla
